Alpaca Construction is small. It's just me here.

My name is Kevin, I run a small construction company where I have cultivated a passion for designing and prototyping tools. I paid my way through university working for a Plumbing and Heating company doing wood stove, and furnace/ducting installs.

I received my Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. This diploma allows me to design and draft residential buildings but it is more of a hobby than a career.

I settled into residential construction and have enjoyed my time on the tools far more than I ever enjoyed sitting at a computer. It is my passion for a well-designed tool that has led me down this path and I hope to share that with you.

I have over 18+ years of experience in trades/residential construction (either building or designing) and in all that time I never found a hammer that suited my needs. so in 2020, I started designing. dozens of iterations, multiple prints, and reprints and then finally I ended up with something that needs to be shared. If you have the same passion for high-quality, functional tools then you have come to the right place!
